meet your owner & cake artist

Hey beautiful people! My name is Ayanna Thompson and I'm the owner, head cake decorator, social media manager, photographer, graphic designer, order scheduler, problem solver (you get the point..) of 10.10 Bakery in downtown Monticello Indiana! 

My cake decorating journey started at 8 years old as a 4H cake decorator and now it's my career 15 years later! What started as making a birthday cake for my sister each year slowly grew into a small business, and every bit of its success is now dedicated to my late little sister.

When I'm not covered in cake batter or buttercream, I'm chasing the next flight! I have such a huge passion for discovering all the beauty this lil world has to offer us! If I'm not on the road, Im most likely spending time with my partner enjoying small town life with our two pups, Bronnie and Duck (yes, our dogs name is Duck.) 

Bonus points for any boilermakers reading this! I graduated from Purdue in 2025 with a degree in Business and certificate in Entrepreneurship. If you're a hoosier, well, we can pretend you didn't read that part.
